TANASE - James A., 77, Old Conemaugh Borough, died Aug. 21, 2007. Born May 19, 1930, in Johnstown, son of Angelo and Sadie (Pingtella) Tanase. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Sylvester "Buster" and Henry; and half- brother, Frank Sciotto. Survived by fiancee, Dolores Rubal; sister, Josephine Tanase, with whom he resided; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tanase and Katie Tanase; and many nieces and nephews. A 1950 Graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 34 years in Gautier Division as a crane operator. Member of Greater Johnstown High School Alumni Association, Notre Dame Club Central PA, Union Social Club, Johnstown Football Club and Retired Men's Club. Life member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, formerly St. Anthony's, where funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, corner of Jackson and Locust streets. Committal, St. Anthony Cemetery.
