The Trojans, coming off the emotional high and momentum that came with their exciting win over Yough a week prior, defeated the Greensburg-Salem Golden Lions 33-7 in week four of the 1988 season.

The Trojans jumped out to a 12-0 lead at the half, scoring once in the first and once in the second quarter. Starting things off for Johnstown was Alex Roebuck, running it in from five yards out. The PAT kick was blocked and it was 6-0.

Roebuck then hooked up with Chuck Wyatt from 24 yards out to get the Trojans' second score of the evening. Coach Davitch opted to go for two but the run failed and the halftime score was set.

The Trojans came out of the locker room at Offutt Field in Greensburg and exploded for a 21-point third quarter, started off with Wyatt taking the second half kickoff back 89 yards for the score. Wyatt caught another touchdown from Roebuck, this time from 12 yards out while Mark Roebuck closed out the Trojans' scoring attack with a 7 yard run.

The two point play on Wyatt's kickoff return was no good, but Alex Roebuck ran in the two point play on the touchdown pass. Doug Goff connected on the PAT kick on the final Trojans score.

GS avoided getting shut out when they connected on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Dee to Howard. George converted the extra point and ended the Lions' scoring at a mere seven points.

Coach Davitch recalls of this game, and G-S in general: "I always thought they (Greensburg-Salem) were really well coached and really good kids. We just came out a lot more focused than we had the week before (against Yough)."

Special note:  this win was the 500th in program history.
